I can’t believe these kiwis, they’re approaching apple size!

 

Reaching peak sugar content – when the seeds are all black it means they’re maxed out.

 

Keeping a close eye on the squirrels… they still don’t seem to know those are food. I think it helps because they’re still rock hard.

 

You pick them when the frost starts and they will take another couple months to soften up indoors. And even though they’ve produced the sugars, there’s some kind of enzymatic process that happens, they don’t actually taste sweet until soft.

 

 

Conservative estimate is about 150 fruit on the vines.
